Who is the Denver Bartender

Q:  Who is the Denver Bartender?

A:  My name is Ryan Conklin and I am currently tending bar behind the stick at Euclid Hall Bar and Kitchen located in the historic Larimer Square District of Lower Downtown Denver at 1317 14th Street.

A:  I am a student of life and a lover of all things quaffable.  I thrive on opening peoples eyes to new cocktails, beer and wine as well as new and unique ways to enjoy food and beverages together.  I have been in the service industry for 16 years, bartending for over 6 years and have tended bar in venues from an Irish pub/club to homey neighborhood taverns, private members golf clubs, a fine dining cabin high in the Rockies and now one of Denver's most exciting up and coming bar and restaurant, Euclid Hall.

Since moving to Denver in the fall of 2009, I have embraced Denver's beer, bar and restaurant scene and have shared my experiences on Examiner.com as the Denver Bartender Examiner.  In the last year Denver too has embraced me and my thoughts on beer, my beer imagery and my views on taking the bar and restaurant scene to new levels.

Q:  What are some things that I can expect to see posted here at DenverBartender.blogspot.com?

A:  In my new blog, DenverBartender.blogspot.com, I will share information on upcoming cocktail and beer events and festivals, recipes for beer cocktails, traditional Pre-Prohibition cocktails, and modern takes on old favorite cocktails as well as tips to be a better bartender.   I will offer an insight to bartending in the 21st century and relate it to the history of beer, bartending and the overall bar scene.   This blog will also chronicle my experiences behind the bar at Euclid Hall and my journey to become a Certified Cicerone as well as share ways to interact with the bar and restaurant community as a whole.  I hope to learn from my audience and grow as a writer, photographer and bartender as well as share information and insight to bartending in Denver, Colorado.  I offer you the opportunity to interact with me and share ideas, comments, critiques or questions as to what interests you, how my articles are received and what you would like to read about in the future.
